Yes - I know alerts are annoying, but if you are not told you are rising until you are already 200, you have missed your opportunity to prevent the high all together! You will be amazed how much lowering your threshold a bit will improve your management. Think about it - if you set your alert at 130 (for example), when you hear that alarm go off, you can make a correction and will likely prevent the rollercoaster from beginning. This trick helped me lower my a1c so much and although I don't have them low 100% of the time, on the days that I do, it makes such a difference.
